Bugnara has a small grocery shop, a pharmacy, a post office and two small bars/cafes. There is also a doctors' surgery.
Facilities in Sulmona
Sulmona, the jewel in Abruzzo's crown, is seven kilometres from Bugnara and has a full range of facilities. These include four supermarkets. A large market is held twice weekly in Sulmona at Piazza Garibaldi. This sells all manner of goods, including fruit, vegetables, cooked meats, cheeses, fish, antipasta, olives, honey etc.
There are a number of petrol stations in Sulmona together with a number of garages covering the full range of makes of car. There are a large number of excellent restaurants in the local vicinity and in Sulmona itself.
There is a tourist information centre situated in Sulmona where the staff are very helpful and mostly speak English well.
